Will appropriately attired at the 2008 SC Democratic Party's Jefferson-Jackson Dinner

William Clarkson Hayward, 81, husband of Eileen Luisi Hayward of 25 Mizzen Lane, Salem, SC, died Friday, March 4, 2011 at home.

A native of Jersey City, NJ, Mr. Hayward was the son of the late William and Mary Dembowski Hayward. He was retired, having been employed as a trouble shooter for various New York City businesses, including 2 Guys retail. He attended St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, and was a member of Friends of Lake Keowee Society and the Sierra Club. He enjoyed helping friends and neighbors and the fellowship of his poker group.

In addition to his wife, survivors include son, John Hayward of Ft. Myers, FL; daughter, Sheri Hayward Busbee of Cape Coral, FL; and grandchildren Madisyn Busbee and Blake Nolan Busbee.

A reception will be held at the Keowee Key Country Club on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at 12:00 p.m..

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Keowee Key Gifts and Memorials Committee for Golf Range Improvement, c/o Keowee Key Property Owners Association, 1392 Stamp Creek Road, Salem, SC 29676.
