Thursday, Aug. 4 was President Obama's 50th birthday ... and Oconee Dems added their best wishes at our birthday bash at the Seneca Library. The event was complete with singing and cake!
Beverly Smith and John Hester, volunteers for Organizing for America (OFA), talked about how we could help the President's re-election campaign in 2012, including phone calling, tabling or clip-boarding at community events or public locations, canvassing neighborhoods, picketing/marching. Many signed up to work our booth at September's Apple Festival in Westminster.
